Pedestrian crossing lights needed at intersection

Issue: New Painted Crosswalk Request

Details of request: Cars frequently speed on 42nd Avenue and blindly pass cars that are turning left onto 1st St or are stopped for a pedestrian. It is very hard to get cars to stop safely for you when trying to cross. I have also witnessed a few vehicle accidents at this intersection. With the recent improvements to the bike/walking path along 42nd Avenue, it seems like this is an area that has been completely neglected. There are businesses and ctrain station that attract pedestrian and bike traffic to the area
